Una historia interesante y cautivadora donde la fantasía se confunde con la realidad de muchos pueblos Latinoamericanos. En un país imaginario de la América Latina, Arcibel (Dario Grandinetti) un preso político, instruido y amante del ajedrez, que debido a una confusión termina encarcelado con presos comunes, conoce a Pablo (Diego Torres) un compañero muy particular y sensible que se hace experto en un juego diseñado por Arcibel: La Guerra de Guerrillas. Pablo con el tiempo se fuga y para sorpresa de Arcibel lleva a la práctica, junto a la hija de éste, todo lo aprendido en el ingenioso juego logrando su objetivo, iniciar la revolución y derrocar al gobierno.

A gripping story about Arcibel (Dario Grandinetti), a chess columnist for a newspaper, who is imprisoned after one of his columns is mistakenly seen as a subversive attack on the dictatorial government in the fictional country of Miranda. After his other cellmates die off or are freed, he meets Pablo (Diego Torres) a common criminal. He invents a game of war and strategy, planting the seeds of revolution in his young pupil. Diego escapes and, together with Rosalina, Arcibel’s daughter, initiates a revolution throughout the country using Arcibel’s ingenious game. This is a film in which fantasy and reality blend to portray the condition of many Latin American countries.
